everything bitter needs
a balance of sweet
like your devotion and adoration
to what i wish was me
i find your heart shines bright
like the sun through drawn shades of subtlety
i pray that these words lift you higher
until vertigo steals your breath at my desire
simply a touch of the hands while
walking the horizon for the sake of the miles
this would be our mission in life’s journey
and it’d fill my soul to know you’re walking with me.
